Frame Material Options

We build our bikes with three different materials. Titanium and steel are used for road bikes, gravel bikes, hardtail mountain bikes and e-bikes. Aluminum is used for full suspension mountain bikes. Each of these materials has advantages for certain applications.

Titanium

Titanium is the ultimate material for cyclists who demand more from their bike. Combining exceptional strength with remarkable lightness, titanium frames offer a smooth and lively ride quality on any terrain. Titanium is naturally resistant to corrosion, Every Zinn titanium bike is built to last a lifetime and will retain its original ride performance forever. While carbon fiber emphasizes low weight, titanium stands apart for its superior durability and dependable ride feel.

Steel

Steel is a popular choice for custom bikes thanks to its exceptional strength, smooth ride feel, and affordable price. We build our steel frames using high-tensile tubing, delivering long-lasting durability—even for bigger riders and heavier loads. While steel bikes are slightly heavier than carbon or titanium, they deliver unmatched reliability and a responsive, comfortable ride. Steel is also easier to shape and weld, allowing us to offer these frames at a more accessible cost.

Aluminum

Our full suspension mountain bikes are crafted from aluminum—a strong, lightweight material ideal for this style of bike. Aluminum’s natural stiffness pairs perfectly with suspension systems, as the shocks absorb trail impacts and help protect the frame. The versatility of aluminum makes it easy to machine and shape, allowing us to fine-tune your bike’s geometry and offer a wide range of suspension options. Plus, aluminum keeps your bike more affordable while delivering outstanding performance.
